Here’s the Anoro Ellipta cost comparison chart.
The four options you have to save money on Anoro Ellipta
There are four main ways to save money on out-of-pocket costs when it comes to prescription medication.
- Join a healthcare plan with prescription drug coverage (Please make sure the medication you are taking is in the insurance formulary.)
- Prescription drug discount cards
- Coupon cards that are directly for the pharmaceutical manufacturer
- Patient assistance programs, which are also directly from the pharmaceutical manufacturer
Now that we have given you the four main medication savings programs, there are a few hurdles to go over in each of those areas. We will be quick about this…
When you join a health insurance program, you will have high deductibles, copays, and things of that nature.
When you have prescription drug discount cards, the discounts are uneven all across the board.
Coupons sponsored directly from the pharmaceutical manufacturer specifically for brand-name medications are excellent in the short run. For the long term, there is a lot of money still left out of your pocket…
Last are the pharmaceutical manufacturer’s patient assistance programs that give medication at reduced cost to individuals who qualify, which provides unmatched medication savings for the long term.
The downside to patient assistance programs is that the first shipment of medication takes, on average, 2-4 weeks to reach the patient. Also, managing medication orders and refills can be a daunting task, especially with the shipping times.
Do I qualify for Anoro Ellipta patient assistance programs?
Qualifying for Anoro Ellipta patient assistance programs is based on household income guidelines. Every patient assistance program uses different criteria for qualification, so we use the information below as general guidelines:
- An individual earning up to $50,000 a year may qualify
- Households of 2 individuals with a combined income up to $70,000 a year may qualify
- Guidelines can increase in families making up to $200,000 per year
Prescription Hope suggests that anyone looking to save money on Anoro Ellipta submit an enrollment form.
Suppose you do not qualify to receive medication through patient assistance programs. In that case, we will never charge a service fee for that medication.
Soon after submitting an enrollment form, we will determine whether you qualify to receive the medications you have requested through patient assistance programs.
Suppose we find a program that will work for you. In that case, we will reach out to you for any additional information needed and reach out to your healthcare provider for the prescription.
Once we receive this information back, we immediately order your medication for you. After that, Prescription Hope works to manage medication orders, refill medications on time throughout the year, maintain up-to-date records, and renew your prescription medication’s enrollment every year.
Once all requested paperwork is received from you and your healthcare provider, your first order of medication is typically delivered within 2 to 4 weeks, we then continue to manage ongoing refills month after month. We will then place refills ahead of time so that you receive your medication on a regular schedule.
During the two to four week enrollment period, we recommend that you ask your healthcare provider if they could provide you with Anoro Ellipta samples while waiting for your first shipment.

Anoro Ellipta: Prescribed to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Anoro Ellipta is a once-daily prescription drug used long term to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It helps patients breathe better and also reduces flare-ups.
Anoro contains two medicines that work together to relax muscles and open airways in order to improve lung function all day and all night. Anoro should not be used for asthma, to relieve sudden COPD symptoms, or as a rescue inhaler.
It is important that patients take Anoro once a day every day as prescribed.
How Anoro works
Anoro contains two medicines (Bronchodilators) that work together to relax muscles around airways to open up air passages in the lungs, resulting in easier breathing.
The two medicines used are umeclidinium and vilanterol. Umeclidinium prevents smooth muscles around airways from tightening. Vilanterol opens up airways by relaxing muscles around them in your lungs.
Together, the medicines work through different but complementary pathways in your lungs to help airways open up and stay open.
How to use your inhaler
Before using your inhaler for the first time, the counter should say “30,” which is the number of doses in the inhaler. If you have a sample from your healthcare provider or an institutional pack from a hospital, that counter will say “14.” Opening and closing the cover without inhaling the medicine will result in a loss of a dose.
Do not use Anoro until your healthcare provider has taught you how to use the inhaler. Inhale Anoro once a day at the same time every day. Do not inhale Anoro more often than what your healthcare provider prescribes.
If you miss a dose of Anoro, take it as soon as you remember to, then take your next dose at your usual time. Do not take two doses in a day. If you take too much Anoro, call your healthcare provider immediately. Check into the closest emergency room if you experience any unusual symptoms.
Call your healthcare provider if you have any questions about using your Anoro inhaler.
Important Safety Information
Anoro is used to treat COPD long-term. It should not be used for asthma.
Do not use Anoro to relieve sudden symptoms of COPD, instead use a rescue inhaler.
Do not use Anoro unless your healthcare provider has demonstrated how to use the inhaler, and do not use Anoro more than what your healthcare provider prescribes.
Do not use Anoro if you are allergic to milk proteins or any of the ingredients. Ask your healthcare provider if you are unsure about some of Anoro’s ingredients.
Do not take Anoro with other medicines that contain a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (LABA) or an anticholinergic for any reason. Using too much of a LABA medicine can cause chest pain, increased blood pressure, fast or irregular heartbeat, headache, tremor, and nervousness.
Let your healthcare provider know about any other medications you are taking, including other prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, or herbal supplements. Certain drug interactions can occur, leading to adverse reactions.
Also, talk to your healthcare provider about your medical history before taking Anoro.
Taking Anoro can also cause serious side effects:
- Worsening COPD symptoms – Do not increase your Anoro dose if this happens. Instead, call your healthcare provider immediately.
- Sudden breathing problems – Stop using Anoro if you experience breathing problems immediately after inhaling the medication and call your healthcare provider right away.
- Allergic reactions – Anoro can cause serious allergic reactions, including rash, swelling of your face or mouth, hives, and breathing problems. If you experience any of these symptoms, call your healthcare provider or get emergency medical care.
- Effects on the heart and nervous system – Symptoms include increased blood pressure, chest pain, fast, irregular, or awareness of heartbeat, tremor, and nervousness.
- New or worsened eye problems – Anoro can cause serious eye problems such as acute narrow-angle glaucoma, which can cause permanent loss of vision if not treated. Symptoms can include eye pain, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, seeing halos or bright colors, and red eyes. If you experience any of these symptoms, call your healthcare provider right away before taking your next dose.
- Urinary retention – Anoro can cause new or worsened urinary retention. Symptoms include difficulty urinating, painful urination, frequent urination, and weak urination streams or drips. Stop taking Anoro if you experience these symptoms and call your healthcare provider right away.
- Changes in laboratory blood levels – Symptoms can include higher blood sugar levels and lower levels of potassium.

Tips for taking Anoro
Do not open the cover of your inhaler until you are ready to use it. Opening and closing without inhaling will result in a lost dose.
Slide the cover of the inhaler down to prepare to take a dose. As you expose the mouthpiece, you should hear a click. If the counter does not count down after you hear the click, the inhaler will not release the medicine. Call your healthcare provider if this happens to you.
Exhale fully through your mouth while holding your inhaler away from it. Do not exhale into the mouthpiece, and do not block the air vent with your fingers.
To take your medicine:
- Put the inhaler’s mouthpiece between your lips and close them firmly.
- Take a deep breath through your mouth, not your nose, before inhaling.
- After inhaling, remove the inhaler from your mouth and hold your breath for about three or four seconds.
- After the time has passed, breathe out slowly.
